Leather Passport Holders

Q: What type of leather is used in PRIMEHIDE passport holders?

Every passport holder in this collection is made from real leather. We do not use bonded leather or PU alternatives. Real leather is more durable, develops a natural patina over time, and simply feels superior in the hand. The material is sourced to meet the quality standard our British design ethos demands.

Q: Do PRIMEHIDE leather passport holders have RFID protection?

Yes - several styles in this collection include an RFID-blocking lining that shields your passport chip from electronic skimming. This is particularly important for biometric passports issued after 2006. Product listings clearly indicate which styles feature RFID protection, so you can choose with confidence before you buy.

Q: Can I get a leather passport holder personalised or engraved?

Yes. Selected styles are available as a personalised leather passport holder with initial embossing or engraving options at checkout. An embossed passport holder makes an exceptional gift - practical, lasting, and personal. Personalisation details and turnaround times are shown on the individual product page for each eligible style.

Q: Will a PRIMEHIDE passport holder fit all passport sizes?

PRIMEHIDE passport holders are sized to fit standard international biometric passports, including UK, EU, US, and Australian documents. If you hold a larger travel document or require a full leather travel document holder that accommodates boarding passes and additional cards, our passport wallet styles offer more capacity. Check the dimensions listed on each product page before ordering.

Q: How do I care for a real leather passport holder?

Real leather benefits from occasional conditioning to keep it supple and prevent drying. Use a leather conditioner every few months, keep the holder away from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and wipe away moisture with a dry cloth rather than rubbing. Avoid storing it compressed for long periods. PRIMEHIDE's dedicated Leather Care guide on the website covers this in full detail.

Q: What is PRIMEHIDE's returns policy - and are passport holders suitable as gifts?

All PRIMEHIDE orders come with a 30-day returns policy, making them a low-risk gift purchase. Passport holders are among our most popular gift choices - particularly the personalised leather passport holder and engraved passport holder styles, which arrive beautifully presented. If the recipient needs a different colour or size, our UK customer team handles exchanges promptly. Free shipping applies on all orders over £50.
